Colorado Springs Chiropractor Loves Colorado Springs
I love Colorado Springs. I love the high altitude, the 300 days of sunshine (according to the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce) and the changes that come with each season. Thought you’d enjoy learning about some of my favorite Colorado Springs places.
The first would be a place that brings tourists from all over the world to see. No, I’m not talking about Pikes Peak. Rather the Garden of Gods. There’s nothing quite like hiking around in the spring, especially when the swallows are building their nests the pock-marked red sandstone on the western side of Kissing Camel. Sunsets in September are especially beautiful.
Colorado Springs City Parks are some of my favorite places to hang out, in particular the jogging trail along Monument Park. Sometimes we’ll ride bicycles all the way up to the Air Force Academy. Of course there’s one weekend each year when we can’t. That’s in early June when cabin fever finally lifts and Colorado Springs turns out for SpringSpree.
Exercise is an essential part of good health, so you’ll often find me at the Pikes Peak YMCA. Membership is a bargain and you can often find me on the treadmill or using the extensive weight-lifting equipment.
I probably know every square inch of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. My children love the place and we must visit at least once a month. You can find us there on a Saturday morning hanging out with the giraffes. By the way, did you know that a giraffe has the same number of vertebrae in the neck as you and me? (Sorry. We chiropractors are always thinking about the spine!)
Colorado Springs is a great place to live and practice as a chiropractor. Lots of sunshine. Clean air. High altitude and plenty of recreational opportunities at the nearby Pikes Peak National Forest. When I’m not helping the health-conscious of Colorado Springs, you can find this chiropractor hiking and jogging.
